Crochet Easy Baby Sweater / Free Written Pattern

Crochet Easy Baby Sweater is for 0-3 months old babies. You can adapt it any age simply by increasing  the number of starting chain.

If you want to make this sweater same numbers but  a little more bigger  like 3-6 months old babies, you  can change your hook to 4 mm or 4,5mm. After finishing your sweater, you can decorate it as you like.

Materials

Yarn: 100 gr-300 mt

Hook:3.5mm

Stitches used

Chain: ch

Single crochet:sc

Double crochet:dc

Space: sp

When you see *( )** it means you repeat the instructions in between *( )** Where you see the word ​turn​ it means to turn your work clockwise and work back down the row.

Row 1:Ch69+3ch and turn+skip 3st and insert the 4th st and make 2dc in this st+13dc in each 13 st+1dc in 14th st+ch2+1dc in the 14th st again+21dc in each 21st+ch2+1dc in 22th st+ch2+1dc in 22th st again+14dc in each 14st+1dc in 15th st+ch2+1dc in 15th st again+18dc in each 18st+1dc in 19th st

Row 2:Ch1 and turn.2dc in the first st+make a dc in each st until come to the ch2 sp+make (1dc+ch2+1dc) in ch2 sp+make a dc in each st until come to the ch2 sp+ch2+make (1dc+ch2+1dc) in ch2 sp+make a dc in each st until come to the ch2 sp+ch2+make (1dc+ch2+1dc) in ch2 sp+16dc+1dc in the st sp+2 dc in the last st.

Row 3:Ch1 and turn.2dc+make a dc in the sp  for arm seperation increasing (you can see in photo1)+make a dc in each dc of previous row+ make (dc+ch2+dc) in ch2 sp+make a dc in each dc of previous row+make (dc+ch2+dc) in ch2 sp+make a dc in each dc of previous row+make (dc+ch2+dc) in ch2 sp+make a dc in each dc of previous row+make (dc+ch2+dc) in ch2 sp+make a dc in each dc until you come to the last 2dc+make 2dc to the last 2nd st+make a dc last st.



Repeat Row3, 7 more times.

Row 11:Ch1 and turn.1dc+2dc in the 2nd st of previous row+ch3+skip the stitches of arm and keep crocheting from the back part of the sweater+1dc in the ch2 sp of back part+make a dc in each st of the back part+1dc in the ch2 sp+ch3+skip the stitches of other arm+make a dc in the ch2 sp of the front part+2dc in the first st of front part+make 2dc in the last st.

Row 12:Ch1 and turn. Make a dc in each st of front part+2dc in the last st of front part+when you come to the ch3 sp, make a dc in the 1st st of ch3, make 2dc in the 2nd st of ch3, make 1dc in the 3rd st of ch3+2dc in the 1st st of the back part+make a dc in each st of back part+2dc in the last st of back part+when you come to the ch3 sp, make a dc in the 1st st of ch3, make 2dc in the 2nd st of ch3, make 1dc in the 3rd st of ch3+2dc in the next st+2dc in the last 2st.

Row13:Ch1 and turn. Make a dc in each st.



Repeat Row13, 17 more rows.Nearly 15cm.

Edge of the Sweater

Row 1(1st front side): *(make 2sc in the post sp+a sc in the st sp)**



Marked the button sp of the sweater.



Row 2(1st front side): Ch1 and turn. 1sc+ch2+skip 2st+make a sc in the 3rd st+7sc in each 7st+ch2+skip 2st+make a sc in the 3rd st+7sc in each 7st+ch2+skip 2st+make a sc in the 3rd st+make a sc in each st.

Row 3(1st front side): Ch1 and turn. Make a hdc in each st.

When you finish this row, you come to the neck part. Make a hdc in each st of this part. After that, keep crocheting  like that until you come  to  the other side of front part. Leave the yarn, last st of the neck part. Tie the yarn, from the first st of the 2nd front part and make these 2 rows.



Row 1(2nd front side): *(make 2sc in the post sp+a sc in the st sp)**

Row 2(2nd front side): Ch1 and turn. Make a sc in each st. When you come to the last st of the front part tear off the yarn.

Row 3(2nd front side): Take the rope you left in the neck part and make a sc in each st of the front part.

Let’s come to the lower end of the sweater; make *[(sc+ch2+sc) in the same st+skip 1st]**

Do the same on the arm parts; make *[(sc+ch2+sc) in the same st+skip 1st]**

Sew the buttons and finish your sweater.
